A.R. Rahman truly creates a soundtrack which makes an instant impact and yet retains the classy touch which is expected from him, especially noticeable in songs like ‘Guzarish’ and ‘Kaise Mujhe’.

The soundtrack has an instant impact and retains the classy touch associated with Rahman, especially noticeable in songs like Guzarish and Kaise Mujhe.

Next comes the foot-tapping number Aye Bachchu – a party track which has an out and out Western rhythm to it. The same goes for Latoo which is also heavy on orchestra.

The next number comes in the form of Behka – a sure shot chartbuster. It represents the most unique composition of the album.

What makes the album even more special is that this is the third time that A. R. Rahman is collaborating with an Aamir Khan starrer. First it was Rangeela, then came Lagaan and Rang De Basanti, and now its Ghajini.

While the music is sensational, the lyrics seem one step further. Prasoon Joshi seems to be in full-form as far as the lyrics of the album go.

It was perhaps to be expected. After attacking Shah Rukh Khan in his blog, Aamir Khan has now decided to take the rivalry one step further, as the date for his next film, Ghajini has been pushed forward and will now clash with SRK’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

Ghajini, which is being directed by AR Murugadoss, was to be released in October. But following a few delays, the film’s release has been now pushed forward to December 12, the same date when Aditya Chopra’s Rab Ne Bana De Jodi, hits the theatres. Aamir’s hamstring injury has further added to the delays pluging Ghajini. The film was first delayed because Aamir wanted to concentrate on Taare Zameen Par. And now that he has injured his hamstring, the actor is using it as an opportunity to oversee the release of his nephew Imraan Khan’s debut, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. His focus is his nephew right now. Incidentally, Jaane Tu too will clash with Harman Baweja’s debut vehicle, Love Story 2050 on July 4. Anyway, to come back to Ghajini, it seems that Aamir himself is very keen that the film releases in December, because that is favourite time of the year for him. His Taare Zameen Par, which released in December last year, did exceptionally well. But this Aamir will be taking on not just SRK but the Chopras as well. So come December, we can expect another gigantic clash at the box office. Unless of course, one of the parties backs off.

Aamir Khan has got the makers to change the script of his yet untitled remake of Telugu film, Ghajini. Aamir insisted on changing the remake’s climax as he was unhappy with the last 30 minutes of the original version.

TheTelugu version’s climax takes place in a medical college where the hero (actor Surya) takes on the villain played by Aamir’s Lagaan co-star Pradeep Singh Rawat, who is also involved in human trafficking.

There is a double role of the villain and the hero fights both of them in a hand-to-hand combat. But before the fight happens, the villain and his goons chase the second heroine (played by Nayanthara) to her college after which they disrobe and kill a medical student. The goons then announce that they shall continue to kill students until the hero comes out of hiding.

Ghjini is back in the spotlight due to Khan’s dissatisfaction with its climax. Apparently, the climax of the original Ghajini, the Tamil film, has Aamir’s character and others threatening a few medical students. The actor felt this was not in good taste and suggested an alternative to the director. Now, the film’s scriptwriters are busy making the required changes.

There’s no word about what the new climax will be, but the suspense is surely worth waiting for. After all, it’s been crafted by the industry’s most trusted perfectionist!

Asin seems to be making a mark for herself in Bollywood. There’s of course, the Hindi remake of Ghajini, where she stars with Aamir Khan and now we hear, there’s another Hindi movie in the offing casting her opposite Salman Khan.

The producer for the movie is from the South — Murali Manohar who has produced films like Arasatchi. No wonder Asin decided sometime ago to move out of her flat in Chennai and shift to Mumbai.

Asin is known for her dedication and hard work in South Indian film industry. Now she is putting an extra bit of efforts to prove herself in Bollywood. Amir Khan is so much impressed with her professional approach. He is apparently stunned at how dedicated and talented Asin is.

“It’s just possible that she will even outdo me in Gajini!” Amir laughed and quipped to the director of the film, Murugadoss.

Now Asin is also flooded with offers from Bollywood and she is just awaiting the release of Gajini to make further commitments.

Aamir Khan came to Delhi on Saturday morning. But, unlike what was reported, and what television cameras lined up to capture him were expecting, he wasn’t bald!

The actor’s decision to sport the shorn look for the film Ghajini had been making headlines, and even Aamir had confirmed that he would shave his head on March 14, his birthday. It was reportedly his wife Kiran’s idea that he do so.

But when Aamir landed in Delhi the next day, the short crop was intact. According to sources, his hairstylist Avan Contractor and Ghajini’s director AR Murgadoss couldn’t finalise the actor’s exact look in Ghajini.

And so the great shave was stalled. Our source from Ghajini’s production house says, “There has been a lot of speculation about when Aamir would shave his hair.

He’ll be sporting the bald look in some of the most vital scenes in the film. Being a perfectionist, he didn’t want to wear a wig for them. However, deciding to go completely bald was a particularly difficult decision for him. After much thought, he finally decided that he’d shave off his hair on his birthday. But he backed off due to a certain reason.”

The original hit was directed by Tamil director A R Murugadoss. The buzz was that GHAJINI is a remake of Christopher Nolan’s Academy Award winning MEMENTO. Aamir Khan who is also producing the Hindi remake of GHAJINI has denied the fact. Actor Surya has played the lead in the Tamil version of GHAJINI, however Aamir is playing the lead its Hindi remake. Murugadoss has already proved his prowess as a successful director down South. Let’s see if he creates his spark in Bollywood with the Hindi remake of his Tamil hit.
The super actor may officially be on a long break, but that is far from the truth. As per trade and distribution sources, Aamir Khan has a good mind to release his next film (still untitled), the Hindi remake of the South blockbuster, GHAJINI, during the next ‘Deepawali’.

Well knowing the film industry, we are quite sure that many other filmmakers will also try to cash in on the festive period and will follow suit!

Every time a ‘big-budget’ film is about to be released, it passes through a stage where it is compared with its predecessors. The film that is under the limelight today is Aamir Khan’s next movie under production, ‘Ghajini Remake’.

Towards the end of last year Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Om Shanthi Om’ broke many records and fetched a record breaking Rs. 73 Crores for its rights. Now Aamir’s ‘Ghajini’ has broken this record of OSO and set a new record of fetching a whooping Rs. 90 crores

Ghajini’ is a story about Sanjay (Surya), a rich man who has an ailment of short term memory loss. He loves Kalpana (Asin), a model and a social activist who is killed by Lakshman (Pradeep Rawat). The manner in which Sanjay takes revenge for his lover’s death is the hallmark of the film. Surya’s acting both emotional as well as action sequences are the highpoints of the film. Apparently the film was shot lavishly and has enhanced the reputation of technical finesse in Tamil cinema.

This massive investment flick, which is not yet titled, is a Hindi remake of the Tamil director A.R. Murugadoss Tamil flick ‘Ghajini’. This is the biggest movie for Aamir Khan this year where he is pairing with Asin, a South Indian beauty, who also was the heroine in the original Tamil version.

Reports close to the producer suggest that they are receiving good offers from various distribution houses. They say that they have surpassed any Indian film’s record in terms of pre-release sales.
