After Bhool Bhulaiyaa Akshay’s market price surely has reached the skies and with Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Akshay undoubtedly one of the hottest stars in Bollywood. Talking about the film Ratan Jain said, “Priyadarshan has been roped in to direct the film. The film would go on floor by mid 2008 and be released by end of the year.” However, except Akshay, no other actors have been signed for the film as yet.

Ignoring the protests of their superstitious uncle, they move into the mansion, where unusual and supernatural events begin to happen.

The comedy thriller, directed by Priyadarshan, notched up 293,905 pounds in three days and reached 7th spot in the charts.

In US too, Bhool Bhulaiyaa opened with a staggering USD 512,000 and the total first three-day billing outside India for the film reached Rs 6.5 crores, compared to Rs 4.75 crores brought in by Laga Chunari Mein Daag, it added.

The film by T-series, released on October 12, has topped the big banner Yash Raj release “Laaga Chunari Mein Daag” across the globe. This comes as a big surprise because Yash Raj films is considered a giant in the overseas specially, with movies that have heavy duty cast and focus on Indian cluture and traditions.

Looking at the song’s craze across the nation, T-Series, the producer of the film as well as the music label on which Bhool Bhulaiyaa arrives, has upped the promotion of the film and the soundtrack by incorporating Pritam’s superhit track ‘Hare Krishna…’ everywhere in the film’s promotion. Whether it is the song, talkie promos or theatrical promos, the Sameer written song rendered by Neeraj Sridhar is being churned in a big way.

Such has been an escalation in the popularity of the number, especially in last 2 weeks, that it has enabled the album to reach the Top-3 of the music sales all over.

Despite the opposition, Siddharth, ignorant of a secret that has destroyed the family for generations, moves into the haunted mansion with Avni. Initially, everything is normal but gradually mystery, shock and surprises start greeting them at every step.

Scientifically inclined, Siddharth ignores it at first, but the mysterious incidents are hard to neglect, so he decides to solve them with the help of his friend Aditya (Akshay Kumar).

A doctor by profession, Aditya is known for his eccentric ways and unpredictable nature. He agrees to help Siddharth and flies down to India to probe the mysterious occurrences in the mansion.

Batukshankar Upadhyay (Paresh Rawal), Radha (Amisha Patel) and Chhote Pandit (Rajpal Yadav) constantly hinder his work and create confusion. But Aditya manages to get to the bottom of the matter.
