He is only a year old in Bollywood but youngster Ranbir Kapoor already has plans of directing.

The young Kapoor, who made his debut in last year’s  Saawariya and this year’s semi-hit Bachna Ae Haseeno, has already thought of the script and is hoping to start work on it within a year. “My plan got delayed, but now I’m working on it,” Ranbir told and Indian newspaper. “Things will fall into place very shortly. I’ll star in the film and direct it.”

The music album of Bachna Ae Haseeno is already making waves and the show stealer is undoubtedly the title track. The hit jodi of Vishal & Shekhar have blended the 70’s magic with current music to churn out a great hip hop number which has already become a favourite across all the discotheques.

The sensational music director pair of Vishal and Shekhar are glowing these days as the two are proud to have made history with their latest album Bachna Ae Haseeno! The duo has given music to Yash Raj’s forthcoming venture starring Ranbir Kapoor and are extremely proud of it since the song has a title track which has son Sumit Kumar sing along with his dad Kishore Kumar!

“Yes, the song ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ is special as it has the voice of Kishore and Sumit Kumar in it. It was director Siddharth Anand’s idea of having the two sing together. We had initially approached Amit Kumar but later it was Amit who gave us Sumit’s number and asked us to try him instead. Amit had already sung for us in Jhankaar Beats and that was also a tribute to RD Burman and this time around we thought of making Sumit sing instead”, said Vishal Dadlani.

Coming back to Bachna Ae Haseeno, for all those who are dying to see Ranbir share screen space with his dad, there is a bad news! Rishi won’t be seen with his son even doing a cameo here! Instead it is Kunal Kapoor who will make a special appearance! “Kunal Kapoor will be seen in the film along with Ranbir in a special appearance”, confirmed a member close to the film.

An unlikely combination of Lucky Ali and Shreya Ghoshal render Ahista ahista. What stands out in this contemporary track is the orchestra. And the singers’ voices complement the orchestra amazingly well. Lyrics by Anvita Dutt Guptan are not bad, but it’s the music that has a unique touch.

The title track will surely take the cake. Vishal-Shekhar have put in an entirely new flavour into Bachna ae haseeno, sung originally by late Kishore Kumar in 1977 for Hum Kissi Se Kum Nahin.

The song is an ideal mix of the glorious music of yesteryears and contemporary rhythms – a fusion that will be remembered for long. The composers have given the piece a completely enjoyable feel.

Jog mahi is one of those typical folk pieces merged with Bollywood tunes. Shekhar Ravjiani renders the song along with Sukhwinder Singh and Himani Kapoor. The number isn’t that great but would make for a good dance track.

A fantastic track comes in the form of Khuda jaane. Everybody seems to have done well in this slow and melodious track. Lyricist Anvita has written some original words while both the singers, Shilpa Rao and KK, have sung it brilliantly.

Shankar Mahadevan renders the oddly titled Small town girl. The music has a Punjabi base with lots of drumbeats thrown in.

Bachna Ae Haseeno has a couple of enjoyable pieces. The title track itself could make the album a big hit.
