Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai starrer, JODHAA AKBAR, Ashutosh Gowariker makes it a point to correct anyone who refers to his film as AKBAR JODHAA and not JODHAA AKBAR. And he has a valid reason for that.

Ashutosh says that contrary to the popular belief, in the East it has always been ladies first. He cites some very famous and important examples like, LAILA MAJNU, HEER RANJHA and not to forget, SOHNI MAHIVAL. He further adds that it is only in the West that they have titles like, ROMEO AND JULIET, ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA.

Well Ashu, we are convinced and at the same time, admire your respect for the fairer sex. We will definitely keep that in mind and yes, catch your magnum-opus, JODHAA AKBAR, when it releases on 25th January 2008!
