Mouche nahin toh kuch nahin!
Hrithik Roshan not only had to put on weight to play Emperor Akbar in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Jodha Akbar, he also had to grow a moustache.
But he could have easily put on a fake one, no? Apparently that wasn’t an option.
Roshan’s make-up artist James told him that he if didn’t grow a moustache, the net behind the artificial one would be visible.
Initially, Hrithik wasn’t too keen on the idea but when he saw the close-up stills, he decided to get the real thing.
“Hrithik is known for his perfectionist streak. He has worked hard on the character and when he realised that the net would be visible in certain shots, he agreed to grow a thin moustache,” says source.
The artificial moustache was then attached to Hrithik’s real moustache and the result was fabulous. Adds the source, “Hrithik is leaving no stone unturned to deliver his best for the film.
He has given two blockbusters last year, and now he is under pressure to deliver a third hit. This is the first time he is acting in a period drama, so he is very excited.”
