Late actor Vinod Mehra’s daughter Debut in ‘Bombay High’
Late Vinod Mehra’s daughter Sonia Mehra has been signed for UTV’s Bombay High. Titled Bombay High, it deals with teenage distress with a high school as the backdrop.
To be directed by Nupur Asthana, Bombay High stars Tabu and Madhavan. Sonia has taken a formal training in acting from Anupam Kher’s acting school Actor Prepares in Andheri, Mumbai.
Nupur Asthana started her career as an assistant director to Ketan Mehta (Maya Memsaab, Aar Ya Paar, Mangal Pandey) and had directed the famous television series on Zee, Hip Hip Hooray. That series, like Bombay High, also had a high school backdrop and teenagers playing central roles.
The shooting of the film according to the UTV officials begins early next month.
