Salman Khan recently announced to the media that he would be part of his brother’s new film titled ‘Hello Father’. Salman said “We plan to make Hello Father with Sohail Khan as producer. The director is yet to be finalised but the plot will be on the lines of Back To The Future.” Back to the Future is a Hollywood film by Robert Zemeckis which is a science-fiction comedy. However apart from Salman and Sohail, another director Vipul Shah has also set his sights on a film with the same storyline based on Back To The Future. Vipul Shah obviously wants his favourite actor Akshay Kumar to be part of the film which may be titled ‘Action Replay’. Currently Akshay and Vipul are busy with their film ‘Singh is King’, but after that they have plans to make Action Replay. However Akshay claims that they have not yet finalised any subject for the next venture after Singh is King.Apart from Salman and Akshay, a third filmmaker Shekhar Kapoor too is keen to revive his once abandoned project ‘Time Machine’ with Aamir on the same subject. According to sources Shekhar is currently in talks with UTV to revive the project which was abandoned due to financial constraints a few years back. Naturally with three filmmakers opting for a similar story, one really has to wonder if there is a dearth of good original ideas.
