Seeing Madhuri dance on screen again might be enough to make one forget that Aaja Nachle is directed by a first timer and scripted by a rather young writer. But the two men behind the story and the film are at no level rookies.

Jaideep Sahni is the man behind some of the most critically acclaimed and popular films in recent times like Company, Khosla Ka Ghosla and Chak De India. And he has joined hands with Anil Mehta, the man who shot Lagaan and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna to script the comeback of India’s dancing queen, Madhuri Dixit.

Aaja Nachle promises to be more than just a song and dance flick, with both Sahni and Mehta weaving a story set in small town India.

While Mehta said, “We really had to cast with the best actors for these small parts. Fortunately, almost all the A-list actors fell in place and we got everyone’s dates.”

So, the charm of earthy Indian characters worked for Yashraj films in Chak De India and Aaja Nachle will be hoping to repeat the Indian flavour magic.
