Kismat Konnection is one of the most awaited films this season and there is lots of hype surrounding it. However, it happens quite frequently that many hyped movies turn out to be big disappointments such as Tashan, Love Story 2050, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic,etc. Fortunately, this is not the case with Kismat Konnection. It`s not just all hype and no substance but a movie with a soul that will immediately connect with the audience.

Bollywood’s ace director Aziz Mirza has come up with his latest film, Kismet Konnection, which releases this Friday. The film stars Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan. It’s a love story revolving around the twists and turns played by luck in one’s life.

Shahid Kapoor plays the role of Raj Malhotra, a brilliant student in college who tops in every field, be it sports, drama or academics. He is called to be the next person who will be appearing on the cover page of Time magazine. But, after completing his studies in architecture after four years, and winning the trophy of the best architect, Raj is still struggling hard to get his Kismat (luck). He is not getting the much needed job opportunities in life to make him win as luck is not in his favour.

Whatever Raj tries to do, ends up the other way round. Everything gets misplaced and misshaped, for which Raj has no answer. He is not able to get any opportunity to prove his skills in architecture. His plans and schedules get disrupted as sometimes like shower stops, car won’t start etc.

One lucky day, Raj bumps into Hasina Bano Jaan (Juhi Chawla), who predicts his future and once he meets his lucky charm, everything will be sorted out and luck would favour him. The search starts and one fine day Raj finds his life back on track as problems gets sorted out easily after he finds the lucky charm. He is able to impress the top builders to get prestigious projects and things start working as per his wishes.

Vidya Balan plays the role of Priya, who is a hard working girl and believes in doing things that would make the world a better place to live. She is an idealist who sees life in black and white. Shades of grey have no place in her life. She believes in giving everything for her people and her love without expecting anything in return.

Raj manages to win her heart and also opens her eyes to her philandering fiancée, which is played by Amit Verma. Thus, unwittingly, Raj discovers his lucky charm in Priya. This is the first time that Shahid and Balan would be seen together on-screen. The pair has already raised curiosity in the film circuit, which may help the movie get a good opening. Even the song Aai Paapi has been a huge hit with music lovers.

The story is a sweet journey about meeting the right people and luck in life.

On the whole, Kismat Konnection is a complete family entertainer which is sure to lure everyone`s hearts and do well at the box-office too. You should definitely give this one a watch.
