Can’t help but reacting to the fact that many are finding the promos of Yash Raj Film’s Jhoom Barabar Jhoom to be a bit ‘thanda’ and unappealing, especially since this was the same reaction to Tara Rum Pum which although it made money, can not really be termed a huge success by Yash Raj standards. It is believed that in some territories where Yash Raj has been selling the film, they have not got the price they expected either and in some cases got half the price. Abhishek’s first release post his marriage to beauty queen Aishwarya Rai seems to not have attracted the attention that Yash Raj films in the past used to. However with a cast like Abhishek, Preity Zinta, Lara Dutta and Bobby Deol along with music by Shankar Ehsaan Loy, audiences expectations will be high especially since director Shaad Ali’s last film, Bunty aur Babli did so well at the box office, even though critics had something else to say. We can only hope that Jhoom Barabar Jhoom fares better than Tara Rum Pum and that Yash Raj Films will once again silence their detractors.
