Saif Ali Khan’s hopes of romancing real-life girlfriend Kareena Kapoor on screen have suffered a blow.
Speculations were rife that the Saif was going to be paired opposite his lady love in his first home production.
But the rumours proved to be wrong when Deepika Padukone was roped instead.

Saif Ali Khan is all geared up to start his first home production film to be directed by Imtiaz Ali .

At last the time has come when the preparations are almost over and Saif’s first ambitious production venture, a love story to be directed by the Jab We Met director, is all set to roll.

The movie doesn’t feature Saif’s sweetheart Kareena Kapoor but the last year’s debutante Deepika Padukone .

Saif is headed to London where the film’s shooting will begin. The movie will also be shot in San Francisco and New Delhi.

So excited is Saif about acting in this film that he has roped in his trusted hair-stylist Aalim Hakim to give him a new hair-do and look.

Speaking about the yet-untitled film, Saif has told a tabloid that the movie is based on a “very original” story. Saif also promises that the film would be “bold and beautiful”.

Saif has been on a two-month break following the completion of his next film Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic . But now he has his socks pulled up to take a plunge into work again.
